Synopsis
Source close to Pope acknowledges:
“We know we are about to see the Second Coming of Christ.
We know it will come from outside the Church.
We know it will come from the East.”
According to a new book by Emmanuel Elliott, the Second Coming is active and accessible here and now, was foretold by the Virgin Mary at Fatima, Portugal, in 1917, and later confirmed by a world-renowned Muslim spiritual guide.
Drawn to the search for spiritual Truth from the age of 16, Elliott experienced an inner awakening when he was 21. Thereafter, he frequently found himself overtaken by a force that felt like ‘a charge of high voltage electricity’. This phenomenon often accompanied a series of extraordinary spiritual events and out-of-body experiences. His search intensified in his mid-fifties when he withdrew from his business interests to embark on a quest that took him to Indonesia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Portugal, Spain, Mexico and the United States.
It was in America that he met Mark Week, a wealthy businessman with a not dissimilar life path. He too had been subject to powerful spiritual experiences. He too felt impelled to give up his business interests and travel the world in search of an explanation.
In Fribourg, Switzerland, Mark Week met the man who was to provide the missing piece of the puzzle. Bernard Fay was a former Director of the French National Library, now living the life of a Catholic lay contemplative. Monsieur Fay was a close friend of Pope Pius XII and had just returned from a stay of three months with the Pontiff at Castel Gandolfo. Monsieur Fay proved to be one of the few men on earth able to corroborate the insights that had brought Mark to his door.
“We know that we are about to see the Second Coming of Christ,” he divulged, “We know that it will come from outside the Church, and we know that it will come from the East.”
He went on to tell Mark that all four of the acknowledged mystics within the Church at that time were receiving indications that pointed to the same conclusion. These included Sister Lucia, the only surviving custodian of the famed Third Secret of Fatima.
What Mark had to say dovetailed perfectly with one of Emmanuel’s own experiences: a revelation that all that had happened to him was ‘a manifestation of the Second Coming’.
Elliott’s understanding, validated by Mark Week and Bernard Fay, was also supported by the revered Muslim spiritual guide, Muhammad Subuh Sumohadiwidjojo, who said, “Something will arise in the East that signals the return of Jesus Christ to earth and from here it will spread. This is not the Christ that you see in pictures, for He has come down to human beings themselves at this time.”
THE DAWNING penetrates to the core of the enigmatic Third Secret and to the truth of the Virgin Mary’s message to the children of Fatima. It includes copies of letters to Pope John Paul II and to the then Cardinal Ratzinger. It includes a personal testimony from a Benedictine monk who had also been exposed to the same spiritual phenomenon, as well as a well-sourced account of how the Second Coming was foretold by the Prophet Muhammad himself.
Elliott writes of a direct contact with the Divine Source that gave rise to all the religions, deeper than dogma and free of the rigidity that divides them, one that is already uniting Jews, Christians and Muslims, Buddhists and Hindus all over the world, to say nothing of those who do not subscribe to a specific Faith.
This book is an enthralling account of one man’s search for Truth as he battles with fear and human frailty in the face of overwhelming spiritual experiences. In the words of one reviewer, a biblical scholar, ‘this is a compelling first-hand account evoking aspects of The Da Vinci Code’. Another writes: ‘Emmanuel has written a real life spiritual adventure story that reveals the amazing possibilities of change within each of us.’ Yet another states that ‘this is a message that could change the world’.
